(4 EAS and 4 RTK) You can take theory lessons traditionally at a driving school or online in virtual classes.

You can choose whether you want to take theory lessons at a driving school or in an online virtual class. One theory lesson lasts 45 minutes. During the introductory lesson, we will plan a suitable training program for you and, if necessary, make an application for a driving license. You can also apply for a driving license on the Traficom website.

EAS theory lessons (traffic lessons) are mandatory for new drivers and are included in the course. If you have a previous driving license in Finland, you do not need to take the EAS theory lessons again. The course introduces you to traffic and how to act as a driver. In RTK theory lessons (risk recognition training), you will learn about driving in difficult conditions, possible traffic risks, how to act at the scene of an accident, car safety devices and ecological driving in traffic. If you take theory lessons at a driving school as a classroom lesson, ask the driving school about the theory lesson schedule. One visit usually includes two theory lessons.

You can take a virtual lesson at a time that suits you. The lessons are normally open Monday - Thursday 8:00-22:00 and Friday - Saturday 8:00 - 16:00. Virtual lessons are pre-recorded lessons in WebAuto. The teacher supervising the lessons must have visual contact with the student at all times.

Payments installments

Normally, you will receive invoices in installments as your training progresses. With Autokoulu-tili financing, you will have more time to pay.

You can start studying as soon as you have paid the course start fee. If you wish, you can pay the entire course fee at once or choose a payment method that suits you. All training must be paid before the driving test. You will receive invoices by email and can also find them on WebAuto. You will receive a printed invoice from the driving school. At the driving school, you can also pay in cash, with Visa, Visa Electron or Mastercard.

(12 car + 4 simulator) Most of the driving lessons are in a real car. Driving in the dark and driving practice on slippery surfaces are part of the course program. You can choose a car with manual or automatic transmission.

EcoBasic course has 12 driving lessons in a real car and 4 are in a driving simulator. We reserve 60 minutes for the driving lesson and the practice time is about 50 minutes. If necessary, it is possible to complete more than one driving lesson per day. You complete the first driving lesson in a driving simulator and, if necessary, the second hour can also be completed in a simulator before you start practicing in a real car. Learning to drive with a simulator is easy because you don't have to stress about making mistakes. The simulator teaches you and there are several language options. In simulator training, we always have trained staff to help if needed.

You start your driving lessons in a car in an easy environment and at first the driving instructor will introduce you to the car's controls and the basics of driving. The driving lessons will progress as you progress. You can start practicing in traffic when you have learned to control the car sufficiently. Before the driving test, the driving instructor will test your driving skills with a practice test on the highway and in the city. The goal is that you can drive independently safely, socially and economically.

Risk recognition training includes dark and slippery driving practice in a simulator. For an additional fee, you can practice driving on slippery roads on a real car. UAR Finland's driving practice track in Vantaa is an excellent place for safe practice. You can tell your driving instructor how you want to practice driving on slippery roads. The driving simulator is good for practicing driving in the dark. The program tests and practices the correct use of headlights on a completely dark road.

Driving lessons for the EcoBasic course are normally on weekdays from 7 am to 7 pm. The last possible driving lessons start at 6 pm. If you want lessons late in the evening or on Saturday, you can purchase the Time+ package. Driving lessons start at the driving school. By purchasing the Flex package, you can start driving lessons from Espoonlahti, Saunalahti, Kauklahti or Kirkkonummi Masala.

Autokoulu Eco's own DL e-Book contains practice tasks, chapters from the book to read and useful educational videos. The book also contains instructions for the tests and a lot of general information about car use.

You will receive the Netreeni theory test practice program. The program is similar to the real theory test and will help you prepare for the real theory test.
